Kids will spend a fun filled week exploring and experiencing recipes for living out God’s Word that will help your kids:
•Enjoy heaping helpings of God’s word
•Create a lasting relationship with God through Jesus Christ
•Celebrate the life-changing love of Jesus
•Take God’s recipe into the world
In this kid-friendly café full of chef’s hats and aprons, pots and pans, checkered tablecloths, and chalkboard menus, kids explore the Bible as a cookbook filled with recipes for living out God’s word. Through interactive lessons, that are easy for kids to apply to their lives today, boys and girls will celebrate biblical festivals that reveal ingredients for being a follower of God.
Our daily recipes will instruct kids how to:
•Be ready for God
•Give happily to God
•Believe fully in Jesus
•Remember Jesus often
•Celebrate God forever
Shake It Up Café Vacation Bible School includes multiple activity centers for all learning styles:
•Begin with the key ingredient of Bible fun at Kitchen a la King
•Pour in plenty of creative crafts at Tangy & Tart Arts
•Mix in hands-on mission work to help feed the hungry
•Stir in sizzling food science in the Foodology Factory
•Sprinkle with recreation at Spork Sports
•Season with snacks at the Take Out Treatery
•Spread with great rockin’ music at Wok n Roll Hits
•And cover it all with God’s love

Who Can Come?
Our Vacation Bible School is open to ALL children ages 3* – 11. You do not need to be a church member to attend. *Children must be potty trained before the beginning of the week.
Interested in Helping?
You can help make SHAKE IT UP CAFE a success:
•PRAY for success in our mission.
•VOLUNTEER your time as a leader, assistant, musician, decorator, etc. (See Below the list of Job Duties and volunteers needed)
•DONATE resources so we can provide a meaningful experience (List of supplies needed will be available in late June)
•PUBLICIZE the event so we can reach as many children as possible.

***We need the following VBS volunteers:
Chef Basil (Assembly Leader): This person should enjoy acting, performing and storytelling, love children, have a sense of humor and desire to reach out to children and share the love of God.
Scraps the Raccoon (Puppeteer): This person should enjoy acting, performing, and storytelling, love children, have a sense of humor and desire to reach out to children and share the love of God. Need not be a master puppeteer!
Music Leader: This person should enjoy different styles of music, like to learn hand and body motions to accompany music and singing, like to sing and dance with children, enjoy motivating kids to do their best and desire to reach out to children and share the love of God with others.
Discovery Time Leader: This person should enjoy science and discovery activities, enjoy motivating kids to do their best, enjoy explaining and teaching concepts to children, and desire to reach out to children and share the love of God with others.
Recreation Leader: This person should enjoy playing recreational activities and motivating kids to do their best, love children, have a sense of humor, desire to reach out to children and share the love of God with others.
Lead Decorator: This person should have a creative, imaginative mind and enjoy artistic endeavors. Also enjoy leading others in order to turn a vision into reality.
Snack Leader: This person should enjoy science and discovery activities and preparing creative food, love children, have a sense of humor and a desire to reach out to children and share the love of God with others.
Servers ( ages 5th grade and up): These persons (2 per group) should enjoy spending time with children as they participate in a variety of activities and enjoy motivating kids to do their best. They should love children, have a sense of humor and a desire to reach out to children and share the love of God with others.
Photographer: This person should understand how to use basic photographic and computer equipment, enjoy taking pictures of children in action, know how to make kids smile and catch the excitement of each movement and love children.
