Young Adult Fellowship
On Sunday, October 9th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (MT) in the Fellowship Hall, all the Young Adults (18 to 40) of the congregation (and any friends you would like to bring) are invited for a Fellowship Gathering and meal. The focus will be getting to know one another, learning how we would like to connect with one another, and share a meal together. The meal and childcare will be provided. We will plan to get together the second Sunday of November (13th), and December (11th). Church Conference to be Sunday, October 9th
On Sunday, October 9th, at 4:00 p.m. we will have our annual meeting as a church with our District Superintendent, Max Clayton. We will be doing things a little differently this year. This year our focus will be looking at what we need to do to be a healthy and vital congregation in the coming years. We will spend less time looking at all of the reports and much more time discerning where God is leading us to go as a congregation so that we might live out our mission and vision.
As part of our time we will discuss and vote upon our new structure change, which we believe will help us be more effective at living out our mission and vision. Please plan to attend this special meeting on the 9th. Thank you!
38th Annual Meeting of the Hays District UMW
On October 15, 2011 Goodland UMC will host the Annual Meeting of the Hays District United Methodist Women. All women are invited to attend. United Methodist Women are involved in mission…making a difference, every day, in the lives of women, children and youth…around the world, and in our own community. If you wish to attend please fill out a yellow registration form on the Welcome Center table here at the church and return it to the address provided. Trunk-r-Treat – October 30
Fall is right around the corner and we are looking forward to cooler weather, raking leaves and who could forget Halloween!! Goodland UMC is having a Trunk-r-Treat on October 30th at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Parking Lot. We will have a contest for the Best Decorated Trunk as well as lots of games, prizes and of course CANDY!!! Please make plans to join us for a SPOOKTACULAR time. There is a signup sheet on the Welcome Center table here at the church of items we need if you wish to make a donation.
